428X 2008 (November 2008)
OK so it was taking too long to get 842X fixed, but I needed to travel to get to customers! So I got 428X. 428X is exactly like 842X… no difference at all.. just a year or two newer is all.
So, to re-cap:
I purchased new Columbia-400 248X, and it was damaged in a hail storm on the ground, so I refused delivery.
I then got new Columbia-400 842X, and then a hangar fell on it, so I ordered it fixed.
Then they took too long to get it totally fixed, and I could not wait to start seeing customers, so I got Columbia-400 428X, and that is what I am flying now.
So, you will see 428X in future adventures rather than 842X or 248X.
(And it will technically be referred to as a Cessna, since Cessna bought Columbia)
