I drive a Tesla Model 3 Performance Edition and my wife a Tesla Model S.

My car goes 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds, which is faster than most Ferraris, has a 5-star safety rating, is safer than a Volvo, is quieter than a Rolls Royce, handles exactly like a BMW, has a far better map for navigation and traffic-avoidance than any other car, and uses no gas.

The only fluid it needs is windshield wiper fluid.

Gasoline-powered cars, of course, are much more likely to burst into flames after an accident than electric cars, and this causes about 2 people per day in the United States to die by immolation after an otherwise-survivable crash.

And, in South Carolina, it is illegal for Tesla to sell them.

Because the car dealers have convinced the legislature to make it illegal for any company to sell cars in South Carolina without going through the dealerships first. They are keeping Teslas illegal to sell so the car dealers can make money… while siphoning some of that money off to the lawmakers, of course, as, um….. ‘campaign contributions’.

Lobbying won’t solve this destruction of freedom, because the car-dealers can out-lobby me to protect their entrenched greed.

So I’m SUING the SC State Legislature to have the law overturned as un-constitutional, which it obviously is. You can see the suit below, and if you live in a state with the same protectionism that protects the car dealers by denying Teslas’ right to sell cars there, then please feel free to grab the lawsuit at the link below and modify it to simply name YOUR state legislature and file it in YOUR state!
